Grade-4-Measurement-Convert whole miles into feet or yards-Worksheet-3
In grade 4, students have the necessary multiplication skills to do conversions between most of the common measuring units. Some students can also practice the more challenging conversions using decimals with metric units, such as changing 1.3 km into 1,300 m.
In grade 4, children learn some easy conversions between measurement units. For example, they convert a bigger unit into smaller units (2 ft into 24 inches or 4 cm into 40 mm). Depending on where you live and what standards you follow, students may also do this the other way around: write 36 inches as 3 ft or 300 cm as 3 m. At any rate, conversion problems in grade 4 should be relatively easy, because being able to change measuring units into others is based on the multiplication tables, which children are usually just learning in 4th grade.
